03.03.2010 - Kartel Continues Dominant Start To 2010 Season
Kartel Motorsports continued its domination of the Cadet and Jr. classes with Magnum power at the Fontana Gatorz Challenge race. Kartel entered drivers in four classes and won two out of four in Sunday’s finals. Luis Tyrrell won Junior Max going away with fast time of the race and a straightaway lead. Blaine Rocha won Mini Max for his second win of the Gatorz season with Davey Manthei in 3rd. Connor Robustelli was winning Micro Max by nearly ¾ of a lap when he thought he saw the checkered flag. In fact, it was just a second white flag; he was only passed while completing celebratory donuts! It was a shame, but he was winning by almost a lap and that’s impressive. Neil Alberico also turned in a stellar run from the rear of the field after an incident in the pre-final. Showing his veteran karting skills he moved through the field methodically and quickly to secure a 2nd place finish; that’s two first places and two-second place finishes for team Kartel. This all comes only two weeks after the Nor-Cal Super Series race at Davis where Kartel pilots won six classes. While the Wild Kart chassis are working well, they are being powered to the front by Magnum Racing Engines. Magnum engines are built and developed by Buck Sorensen who works closely with Erik, Les and Joey to give Magnum customers the best power and opportunity to win. In three events to start the season, Kartel has entered 15 classes with their Wild Kart pilots powered by Magnum and have won nine, had seven pole positions, two podium sweeps and that makes for 13 top 2’s; that is domination! Kartel and Magnum Racing Engines are always testing and developing to make their packages stronger. The team is always looking to bring new winners into the program, so feel free to call or see the boys at Kartel to see what they can do for you. |
